Mark Hunt: Unbreakable

March 20, 2008 at 1:09 am (Uncategorized)

Mark Hunt is an exciting and completely underrated fighter who deserves so much more credit than I think he does. Sure, he hasn’t earned all of his stripes in the world of Jiu-Jitsu, but who has submitted him? Fedor, Barnett and Yoshida? Hardly fighters to be ashamed of being submitted by, as they are some of the best. I believe in Mark Hunt and believe he could be in the upper half of the top ten at heavyweight in the next year or two to come depending on who he fights.

Before making this video I watched Mick Bianchi’s Mark Hunt HL 2 many times for inspiration, and you may catch a bit of a reference at the beginning with all of the photos and such. Was inspired by his awesome use of stills in that highlight. Definitely reccomend everyone search that video out! You can check it: Here. Definitely check it out, one of my favorites.

Rich Clementi: No Love

March 13, 2008 at 4:15 pm (Uncategorized)

As a kid from Louisiana, who has worked in Slidell many years, you can’t help but feel some hometown pride when you see someone from your area go out and be successful. Having met Rich, knowing he’s a nice guy as well helps. I made this highlight from a few clips to show some love for the guy and represent Louisiana.

Carano Vs. Kedzie: A Highlight

March 2, 2008 at 12:42 am (Uncategorized)

This is a highlight I’ve wanted to make for a while, since it is a more recent fight that I felt maybe hasn’t gotten a lot of attention in the months following it. I watch the fight often and am always impressed, with both women and their attitude and aggression. A fantastic fight, and although there are a few Gina Carano highlights out there, I haven’t seen one for this particular fight. I hope there are some out there that enjoy it as much as I do the original fight! Made with vegas and in a lot quicker fashion than I’m usually working on these.

Rampage Vol 3: A Champions Heart

March 1, 2008 at 8:20 pm (Uncategorized)

So far this is likely my favorite video I have made. I moved from Adobe Premiere to Sony Vegas on this project, as I was looking for a Program that didn’t seem to eat so much of my memory. Vegas turned out to be the right move and so far I’m enjoying it by leaps and bounds. I like several of the filters… mostly the light glow, which you will see heavily on display in this video. I’m going to have to move away from it however, since I’m seeing it too much these days! Still, I took my time with this video – mainly due to my business taking up much of my time, but I wanted to walk away from this video with no regrets and did. I think it turned out very well.

Rampage Vol 2: Rise & Fall

March 1, 2008 at 8:06 pm (Uncategorized)

This was my third highlight and second in the Rampage series. I feel I made considerable growth with this video, and tried to implement some still photographs into the video as well as a few new FX. Just experimenting, also threw in some new types of music and overall was my best to that point.

Rampage Vol 1: The Beginning

March 1, 2008 at 4:28 am (Uncategorized)

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been one of my favorite fighters for years, and my cousin is a fanboy behind him so I decided I would approach making a highlight encompassing his career. As I got into it however, I found the task pretty heavy. With so many fights and so many memorable moments I wanted to make a trilogy dedicated to the phenom that is Rampage Jackson. Featuring lots of clips of his better interviews of course! Made with Premiere again, I made considerable improvements with this video and got more of a hang for the program – and used instrumentals mostly of my cousin’s favorite hiphop tunes. I think the result is fairly entertaining, and I think the series gets better.

Vitor – Randy: A Stunning Upset

March 1, 2008 at 3:56 am (Uncategorized)

This was my first ever highlight. Actually, this is a remake of my first ever highlight. I was happy with that highlight for about five minutes before I found out everyone on earth had used the Requiem For A Dream music. So, I went back and edited it into something I enjoyed. It still could use some work, but it’s a lot better than it once was.
